Johanna Beekman
Meet Johanna Beekman, an internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter, kirtan artist, yoga and vocal teacher, and creator of Lullaby Yoga. Known for her soulful voice and heart-opening call-and-response chanting,
Johanna blends music, movement, breath, and restorative practices to create experiences centered on connection, healing, and self-discovery. Her work has taken her to festivals, studios, retreats, and communities across the country.
Join Johanna at Upward Light on October 6 at 7:00 PM for Trauma Toolkit, an evening focused on practical tools for greater awareness, resilience, and well-being.

Each month, we take a little piece of that community with us to the Downtown Mesa Sunset Market. Stop by our booth to meet some of the people who call Upward Light home, discover classes and healing services, connect with local makers, and learn more about what’s happening at the studio.

Just for Kix
Just For Kix offers fun, welcoming dance classes designed to build confidence, friendships, and a love of movement.
Monday classes
ages 2–3 from 5:00–5:30 PM
ages 3–5 from 5:30–6:00 PM
Thursday classes
Kindergarten–1st Grade from 5:00–5:45 PM
ages 3–5 from 5:45–6:15 PM.

Each gathering is a little different, guided by the healers and practitioners who come together that month. You may experience Reiki and energy healing, singing bowls, tuning forks, drums, chanting, meditation, breathwork, movement, and other restorative practices—all woven together to create space for you to receive, reconnect, and simply be.

Join us Saturday, October 24 from 10:00 AM–1:00 PM for Downtown Mesa’s Haunting on Main! While you’re enjoying the trick-or-treating, family activities, music, and Halloween fun along Main Street and Macdonald, wander just one block off Main and come say hello to us at Upward Light Healing on Pepper Place.
We’re excited to be part of the festivities and to celebrate alongside our wonderful Downtown Mesa neighbors.
Follow the little ghost—and the fun—around the corner to Pepper. We’ll be here and can’t wait to see you! 🎃
