Lanita started her exploration of yoga & meditation in 1999 and became a 200 hr certified yoga teacher in the Hatha yoga tradition in 2012, while also expanding her journey into serving pregnancy, labor and birth through Prenatal Yoga, Birth-work & Education / Doula services. In 2015, she started a 4-year journey to become a certified Mindfulness Educator/ Coach and is now also pursuing her certification in Equine Assisted Coaching/Therapy (EAC). She currently teaches All Level and Prenatal Yoga, with certifications in Chair, Special Populations, Recovery, Trauma Informed, Yoga Nidra, and Yin. Lanita brings to her classes an invigorating blend of strength building poses and inner awareness to achieve a truly transformative practice for both body and mind.

Debbie’s journey into yoga began in 2002. The demands of a job with long hours, family life and life in general were overwhelming. She longed to find and experience the peaceful place within her that she had heard of and read about. Yoga, opened up that path for her and continues to guide her back to her spiritual heart where the peaceful place is in all of us.

In 2011 she completed 200 hours of Yoga Teacher Training with Inner Vision Yoga. Desiring to go deeper into her practice, she continued to study with Inner Vision and completed an additional 300 hours of training in 2015. Debbie also holds certificates in Yoga Nidra, Reiki I and Chakra clearing. She teaches Restorative, Chair Yoga, Yin and Gentle Yoga with Yoga Nidra.

Debbie brings to her classes the offering of deep relaxation, attention to breath and mindful presence in the movement and in the stillness.

Yoga Class Descriptions

All Level Yoga

In this mixed level class, we embrace postures compassionately and mindfully, allowing for exploration and development of your personal practice. Throughout class we will offer variations of poses, breath-work, and encourage self-awareness and active listening to the body through sensation.

Adaptive Chair Yoga

Join Kara for an accessible yoga class designed to gently move the body while seated or using a chair as support. This class is open to all levels, especially those who have difficulty getting up and down off the mat

Healthy Back Yoga

This gentle class welcomes students of all ages to learn the basics of bringing awareness and stability to our bodies. Somatic based. Utilizing props (such as the wall or strap) will help with proper alignment while we lengthen our spines and strengthen our cores to promote youth and vitality in our bodies, minds, and spirit.

Release Into Nidra

 We begin class by centering, grounding, and connecting to the breath. I'll share the intention for the class and the nidra portion. As we open to the space, we will move slowly and mindfully in and out of easy shapes to gently move the body and release tension. All poses are either seated or lying down. The last 15-20 minutes we will be lying down, supported by props for deep relaxation. As you remain awake, I'll guide you into deep relaxation and weave the intention into the meditation. We'll do some breathwork and move oour attention to different parts of the body (which takes our Prana/Life Force to all these parts). You will likely feel rested, calm, and more focused as a result of this class.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga offers a life changing modality that all have the opportunity to experience, practice, and master. Wednesday nights class is dedicated to supporting everyone who is coping with stress in their lives, which may be creating situations and feelings which are difficult to manage. Kundalini Yoga offers tools that can shift you to clarity, happiness, kindness, and peace - Releasing fear, guilt, shame, anger, hurt, regrets, and losses. Included in Kundalini Yoga are tools that support relapse prevention for recovered addicts. It is a blessing to hand down the teachings that transform and create grace, self-love and trust, to embrace a new life with sobriety, love, and light. Happiness is Every Person’s Birthright!

Gentle/Restorative Yoga

 This class is a blend of gentle breath-oriented postures, including strengthening, stretching and joint freeing movements, followed by deeply relaxing restorative poses. Restorative postures use props to support the student in soft openings, where deep healing and stillness of body and mind can be experienced.

Crystal Magic Yoga (all level)

 Bring your crystals to yoga!! When we bring the vibration of crystals into our own vibrational field, the resonance of the two frequencies dance and balance one another in graceful harmony. This is a sacred space for us to learn about, share about, form our own personal understanding of and relationship to these precious gifts of Mother Earth. We work with them and evoke their vibrations to help manifest, heal, evolve, and deepen our intuition all through the vehicle of our yoga practice. 

This class will incorporate intuitive crystal meditation with Hatha “all level” yoga. In addition to asana poses, pranayama/breathwork and meditation, students will strengthen their intuitive senses allowing Self Love and Care to flow. You will flow through life’s waves with more ease and miracles will manifest. 

*Special Instructions: Please bring 1 to 7 of your own crystals. We will charge them with our personal Sankulpa or intention and it is recommended that you work with the same crystal(s) over a period of time for more potent results. 

**A small number of crystals will be available for those who forget or don’t have their own yet. These will be cleansed and returned to the teacher at the close of every class. Students are responsible for keeping track of their own crystals and the studio is not responsible for lost or damaged crystals

Kids Yoga

This kids yoga class is intended for kids ages 3-6 years old. You can drop your little one off or hang out at no charge. This is geared towards preschool age and is a great practice for both care-taker and child to have some time apart. So it is 100% kid-focused! In our 45 minutes together through play, songs, games, and books we will practice poses and develop coping mechanisms for BIG feelings! Amber has worked with kids the majority of her life as a nanny, yoga teacher, and mom of three herself. She is currently a coach at KTR Mesa with their Preschool Hero Program.

Flow Yoga

Expand your practice with this creatively sequenced flow class designed to strengthen and balance the body. This class will help you master foundational poses and support flexibility by exploring new modifications and personal challenges. Both a warm up and cool down are included with a peak pose, and time devoted to targeting core strength and spinal health. Leave class re-energized and ready for the weekend.
